Non-DOT workplace drug testing,
on site across Los Angeles

Non-DOT urine drug screens, collected at your workplace by a certified collector in as little as 3 hours. 14 panels read on the spot, alcohol covered as EtG, chain of custody on every collection, and confirmation at a CAP-accredited laboratory when a result will be acted on.

Chain-of-custody procedure on every drug test collection CAP-accredited laboratory confirmation by LC-MS/MS Results released only to the account holder, or to a third party they authorize in writing

How fast can you come?

The earliest arrival window is 3 hours after you book. Windows run every 30 minutes from 7 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week, so a visit booked by 4 PM can still happen the same day when a window is open. Book later and the earliest window is the next morning from 7 AM. Every open window is shown before you pay.

Your arrival window is a good-faith estimate, not a guarantee. Cancel from the app before a collector is dispatched and we refund you in full, to the card you paid with. If we are going to miss your window, we will tell you in the app, and you can take the next available window or cancel for a full refund; the same applies if we cannot staff your visit at all. Scope

Non-DOT only, and we say so plainly

Testr performs non-DOT drug testing only. Testing regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation, for commercial drivers, pilots, transit and pipeline workers and other positions covered by federal rules, follows its own federal procedure with its own forms, collector qualifications and reporting chain. Testr does not perform DOT tests, and a Testr record is not a substitute for one.

If the person you need tested holds a DOT-regulated position, you need a DOT collection site. For everyone else, which is most Los Angeles employers, a non-DOT urine drug screen is the standard tool, and it is what Testr collects: the same clinical 14-panel cassette, the same certified collector and the same chain-of-custody procedure as every other Testr visit, at the address you choose.

When employers book

Pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, random, post-incident

Pre-employment

When your offer letter calls for a test before the start date, book the visit for the candidate at your office or at their home. Identity is verified at the door with a PIN, the rapid read is done before the collector leaves, and the record comes to your account.

Reasonable suspicion

Your written policy sets the standard and says who makes the call. Once it is made, the earliest window is 3 hours after you book, seven days a week, so the collection happens the same day instead of after a drive to a clinic and back.

Random

Testr does not run the selection. Your program picks the names and the dates; you book a visit for each person selected, and the same collection procedure applies every time, with a separate custody code for each.

Post-incident

Book as soon as the scene is safe. Service hours are 7 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week, with 30-minute windows; for an incident outside those hours, book the first window of the following morning.

Testr collects and reports. Whether a test is called for, and what happens after a result, is governed by your own policy and your own advisors.

The visit

How a workplace visit works

Every visit is one collector and one person. For a group, book one visit per person; each gets its own 30-minute window, its own custody code and its own record. The collector needs a restroom the person can use and a little space for the paperwork, brings everything else, and arrives in plain clothes and an unmarked vehicle, which keeps a test from becoming an event on the floor.

Chain of custody runs the same way it does in a home: identity verified at the door with a PIN, specimen temperature checked at collection, a tamper-evident seal applied and photographed, both signatures on the record, and one custody code tying the specimen, the report and any laboratory result together. The person being tested is present for all of it. Results are released to the ordering account and to no one else, unless the account holder authorizes a release in writing. With that consent, the laboratory report goes directly to a named third party.

Booking works the way it does for a family member or a client: choose "Someone else", enter the employee's name, and pick the workplace address. Track the collector on the map in the Testr app, and message them with a lobby, a suite number or a loading-dock entrance if the front door is not the right one.

Rapid read on site, measured levels from the laboratory

The on-site read reports each of the 14 panels as positive or negative against a screening cutoff: amphetamines, methamphetamine, THC, cocaine, opiates, oxycodone, methadone, benzodiazepines, buprenorphine, barbiturates, MDMA, PCP, fentanyl and EtG, with creatinine, oxidant and pH checks for dilution and adulteration.

Alcohol is covered as EtG, a metabolite that shows drinking over the prior days in the urine specimen. It is not a breath test of alcohol currently in the body, and Testr does not perform breath testing.

For any result that will be acted on, order the Rapid Test with Laboratory Confirmation. The sealed specimen goes to a CAP-accredited laboratory, which quantifies it by LC-MS/MS and reports measured levels in about 72 hours; its 81-substance confirmation menu reaches well past the 14 panels. A valid prescription is noted at the visit. Every laboratory report then goes to a Medical Review Officer (MRO), a physician who reviews laboratory-confirmed results and accounts for valid prescriptions before the report is released. An At-Home Rapid Test, the same product at a workplace address, can be upgraded to confirmation from the app within 2 hours of collection, while the specimen is still viable.

Ask before you book

Not sure which test fits, or whether a collector reaches your address? Send a question. A person replies, usually the same day. Please leave out medical details.

Questions

Before you book for the workplace

Is Testr a DOT collection site?

No. Testr performs non-DOT testing only. Testing regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation follows its own federal procedure with its own forms, collector qualifications and reporting chain, and Testr does not perform it. An employee in a DOT-regulated position needs a DOT collection site.

Can you test several employees in one visit?

Every visit is one collector and one person. For a group, book one visit per person; each gets its own 30-minute window, its own chain-of-custody code and its own record.

Who receives the results?

The account that placed the order, as with any Testr booking made for someone else. The person being tested is present for the whole collection and signs the record. Testr does not send results anywhere else unless the account holder authorizes it in writing. With that written consent, the laboratory report is released directly to a named third party, such as an attorney, a program or a clinician.

Does the test cover alcohol?

Yes, as EtG (ethyl glucuronide), the alcohol metabolite, in the same urine specimen as the other 13 panels. It is not a breath test; Testr collects urine only.

Do you offer a 10-panel drug test for employers?

Testr has no separate 10-panel test. Every visit reads the same 14-panel urine screen, which includes the five base panels of a 10-panel test (amphetamines, cocaine, THC, opiates and PCP) and the five most often added to make ten (benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, methamphetamine and oxycodone), plus MDMA, buprenorphine, fentanyl and EtG for alcohol. Whether a 14-panel record meets a particular written testing policy is a question for the employer or its employment counsel.

What if the employee has a prescription?

They tell the collector at the visit. Laboratory confirmation reports measured levels rather than a bare positive. Every laboratory report goes to a Medical Review Officer (MRO), a physician who reviews laboratory-confirmed results and accounts for valid prescriptions before the report is released.
