That range is typical rather than a guarantee: how much was taken, how often, body weight and hydration all move it.

Can a prescription cause a positive on the Oxycodone panel?
A valid oxycodone prescription can cause a positive. Lab confirmation reports measured levels, and every laboratory report goes to a Medical Review Officer (MRO), a physician who reviews laboratory-confirmed results and accounts for valid prescriptions before the report is released.
What does a positive on the Oxycodone drug test panel mean?
The on-site read is a drug screen. It reports positive or negative against the screening cutoff, not a measured level. Laboratory confirmation is what produces a number: a CAP-accredited laboratory quantifies the specimen by LC-MS/MS and reports measured levels, in about 72 hours. OxyContin, Percocet and the OXY panel
Oxycodone is the opioid in OxyContin, a long-acting tablet, and in Percocet, which pairs it with acetaminophen; it is also sold as plain oxycodone tablets under its generic name. Whatever the brand, the compound is the same, and the OXY panel reads it at 100 ng/mL. The strip reports the class, not the brand or the dose, and it cannot tell a prescribed tablet from one bought on the street.
Why oxycodone has its own line on the cassette
An opiates screen is built around morphine and codeine, and oxycodone is a different molecule, so it sits on its own line rather than on the opiates (MOR) panel. It is also missing from a standard 5-panel cup, whose five strips are amphetamines, cocaine, THC, opiates and PCP, and only some 10-panel kits add it. Someone taking oxycodone can still test negative on every strip of a 5-panel cup. On a Testr report the line is printed OXY, and it is read at every visit.
Counterfeit pills and the laboratory menu
Fentanyl is common in illicit pills and powders, so a pill bought outside a pharmacy may not contain what its markings suggest; the cassette reads FEN from the same specimen as OXY. The laboratory menu lists oxycodone at 50 ng/mL and its main breakdown product, noroxycodone, at 100 ng/mL, along with oxymorphone, another metabolite of oxycodone and a prescription opioid in its own right, at 50 ng/mL.
What the OXY line cannot tell you
A positive OXY line says oxycodone reached 100 ng/mL in the specimen, and nothing more. It cannot say whether the source was OxyContin, Percocet, a generic tablet or a pill sold on the street, how many were taken, or when inside the window the last one was. For someone with a prescription, that gap is the reason to add laboratory confirmation: measured levels, from a specimen sealed under a chain-of-custody code, are what the laboratory review sets against the prescription.

What is the OXY cutoff on a drug test?
100 ng/mL on a Testr screen: at or above that level the OXY panel reads positive, below it negative. Other cups can print OXY with a different cutoff. Laboratory confirmation applies its own cutoff to each compound it measures and reports the measured level rather than a positive or negative.

Does Percocet show up on a drug test?
