Amphetamines are stimulants that include some prescription ADHD medicines like Adderall and Dexedrine, as well as illicit forms.

How long do amphetamines stay in your system?
That range is typical rather than a guarantee: how much was taken, how often, body weight and hydration all move it.
The screening cutoff above is the level at or above which the on-site cassette reads positive. Below it the panel reads negative even when a trace is present, which is why the cutoff matters as much as the number of days.
Can a prescription cause a positive on the Amphetamines panel?
A valid ADHD prescription can cause a positive. Lab confirmation reports measured levels, and every laboratory report goes to a Medical Review Officer (MRO), a physician who reviews laboratory-confirmed results and accounts for valid prescriptions before the report is released.
What does a positive on the Amphetamines drug test panel mean?
The on-site read is a drug screen. It reports positive or negative against the screening cutoff, not a measured level. Laboratory confirmation is what produces a number: a CAP-accredited laboratory quantifies the specimen by LC-MS/MS and reports measured levels, in about 72 hours. Every laboratory report goes to a Medical Review Officer (MRO), a physician who reviews laboratory-confirmed results and accounts for valid prescriptions before the report is released. Adderall, Vyvanse and the other names on the AMP panel
Most of the stimulant names people look up land on this one strip. Adderall is a mix of amphetamine salts and Dexedrine is dextroamphetamine, so both are amphetamine and both read on the AMP panel at the 500 ng/mL screening cutoff. Vyvanse contains lisdexamfetamine, which the body converts to dextroamphetamine, so it belongs on the same list. Illicit amphetamine, sold as speed, is the same compound and reads the same way. The strip cannot say which product the amphetamine came from, or whether it was prescribed.
What the AMP panel does not cover
Three stimulants people often expect here are screened elsewhere or not at all. Methamphetamine has its own line, the MET panel, and so does ecstasy, on the MDMA panel. Ritalin and Concerta contain methylphenidate, a different stimulant with no panel of its own on the 14-panel cassette, and Testr does not claim the AMP panel reads it. The laboratory confirmation menu does list methylphenidate and its breakdown product, ritalinic acid, at 10 ng/mL each, along with three synthetic stimulants that have no rapid panel either: MDPV, mephedrone and methylone, at 10 ng/mL each.
What laboratory confirmation adds for amphetamines
The rapid strip answers a single question: did the specimen reach 500 ng/mL or not? Laboratory confirmation answers two more. By LC-MS/MS it measures amphetamine and methamphetamine as separate compounds, each against a 100 ng/mL laboratory cutoff, so the report shows which one is present and at what level instead of one line for the whole class. That split is what matters when a stimulant prescription is part of the picture.

What does AMP mean on a drug test?
AMP stands for amphetamine. On a Testr report, and on most test cups, this panel is printed as AMP. On a Testr screen the AMP panel reads positive at or above 500 ng/mL, and it is usually detectable in urine for 2-4 days after use.
What is the AMP cutoff on a drug test?
500 ng/mL on a Testr screen: at or above that level the AMP panel reads positive, below it negative. Other cups can print AMP with a different cutoff. Laboratory confirmation applies its own cutoff to each compound it measures and reports the measured level rather than a positive or negative.

Does Adderall show up on a drug test?
Yes. Adderall is amphetamine, so it reads on the AMP panel at the 500 ng/mL screening cutoff, and amphetamine is usually detectable in urine for 2-4 days after use. A valid ADHD prescription can cause a positive. Laboratory confirmation then reports a measured amphetamine level instead of a bare positive.
Does Vyvanse show up as amphetamine?

Yes. Speed is street amphetamine, the same compound as the amphetamine in prescription stimulants, so it reads on the AMP panel at 500 ng/mL. Powder sold as speed is not always what it claims, and methamphetamine, if present, reads on its own MET line.
Does Dexedrine show up on a drug test?
Yes. Dexedrine is dextroamphetamine, one form of amphetamine, so it reads on the AMP panel at 500 ng/mL just as Adderall does. Laboratory confirmation reports it as amphetamine, with a measured level.
Is amphetamine on a 5-panel drug test?
Yes. Amphetamines are one of the five drugs on a standard 5-panel, with cocaine, THC, opiates and PCP, so a 5-panel cup and a Testr visit both screen for Adderall-type stimulants. A Testr visit reads 13 more panels besides, MET and MDMA among them.
